Kodak Center Entrance
Beginning entrance to the NEW Kodak Center in Hollywood. Boy, is this really beautiful. This shot is the entrance to the 'center' which houses many shops and the large theater. I didn't count the floors but I'd guess at 6 levels.

Kodak Center
Further into the Center, looking up at a Lion's head. These pictures are crappy really. I wish we had taken the 35 ml camera, as the digital doesn't work very well in the dark... anyway, no camera could give one a real feel for the area, it was full of glitz and glamour ... very large, twists and turns going every which way.

El Capitan theater
This is a cinema across the road from the Kodak Center, which is often where they first show a new movie... where the opening night is and the movie stars attend.

Chinese Theater
Just before entering the Kodak Center and to it's left entrance, is the Chinese Grauman Theater. In 1927, Norma Talmadge and Douglas Fairbands stepped in a wet contrete slab outsidet he theater. It was the first of many ceremonies. The full 'Forecourt of the stars' at Mann's (formerly Grauman's) Chinese theater holds the hand and foot imprints of 180+ celebrities.

Dennis and Jenny
We are in the actual theater now. This is where we will watch Barry Manilow. The stage is behind Dennis and Jenny. We had the 3rd row seating, real close. We sat behind a group of woman that we think must have been part of a Barry Manilow fan club.. wow, were they ever excited ...He had a 14-piece band with two set of drums that really sounds fantastic... it made one's chest vibrate. The theater was had fantastic acoustics.

Barry Manilow
Barry on stage, he was fantastic... I loved the song "I wrote the songs" and 'copacabana' was a real foot stomper ... the 14-piece band really shook the walls.
